The last 8 or so images were shot on a walk from Tower Bridge Road via Old Kent Road and New Cross Road to Greenwich. Like a dog, I don't just walk in a straight line but wonder off the path when something visual smells enticing. Parts of New Cross Road were powerfully visual in a shockingly Dickensian sort of way but I was so stunned to see such abject poverty in London that at times I couldn't use the camera. I don't see myself as a documentary photographer, it didn't feel right. Maybe some other time.
After such a stretch of stunned no-shooting, I came across Elvis's Graceland, a chinese restaurant with a daily Elvis tribute show performed by, I think, the Chinese owner of the restaurant. And just next to it was Floyds DIY and I had a bada bing moment and shot this image.
